Report on a Sample of Imperial .Schiedam Schnapps received from Mr H. J. Dart. We have subjected a sample of the abovenamed article to a very caieful chemical analysis and examination. The results of the analysis, which are se forth in a separate report show tbat thia spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of solid matter in solution. It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Mr Hart's Schiedam Schnapps 1 ls a very snperlqr article of its class, is well' purified, and is quite genuine. Sir,— l have the honor )to report for yonr information that tbe sample of Imperial - Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by you to me has been submitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the I Finest Sample of Schnapps that as yet come under my notice. - It has a pure fragrant odour, and Is absol utely free from any trace of foil or other Injurious impurity, and bas evidently been distilled from superior rye grain, olways used Instead of malt in the production of the i choicest qualities of Schnapps. It is very , smooth to the palate, and in this respect com- ! part s favourably with other ; samples oflered ' for sale. It may be advised as equally* suitable for medical or economic purposes.
