London, 9th May, 1877. Report on a Sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps received from Mr H. J. Hart. We have subjected a sample of the abovenamed article to a very careiul chemical analysis and examination. The results of the analysis, which are se forth in a separate report show that ihis spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of eolid matter in solution. It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Mr Hart's Schiedam fjchnapps fe a very superior ariicle of its class, is well purified, and is quite jrenaino. Bir,— l have the honor [to report for yonr information that the sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by yon to me has been -submitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state tbat it is the Finest Sample of Schnapps that as yet come under my notice. It has a pure fragrant odour, snd is absolutely free from any trace of fucil or other injuriou* impurity, and bas evidently been distilled frota superior rye gr»in, olways used fnpt^ad of malt in the production of the Choicest qualities of Schnapps. It is very smooth to the palate, and in tbi» respect compart s favourably with other samples offered for sale. It may be advised as equally* suitable for medical or economic purpeses.
