PUBLIC NOTICE. We respectfully beg to thank the public for the liberal support they have given to us for the last twenty years, and more especially for tbe very extended patronage since we altered our style of business. We bave often been asked the reason why we are able to sell our goods cheaper than any other person in Nelson. Our answer to that is — Firstly : That we only sell for Cash. Secondly ; Thafc being Direct Importers, we are able to sell at much cheaper rates than if fche goods were bought in the Colony, as we purchase them considerably under the wholesale prices here. Thirdly: Being thorough Practical Shoemakers, we have no wages to pay for anything in the shape of Managers, and therefore our expenses are a mere nothing. Fourthly : And we are now in a position, as far as money is concerned, to take advantage of any Bargains in fche trade that may be offering. But we are too well versed in tbe business to bave anything to do with bankrupt stocks, as it requires too much gas to puff such goods away. Our friends will therefore find us afc the Old Stand in Upper Bridge-street, where, we aro certain, all will be satisfied, and by purchasing from us they will save money, and we shall get a small profit.
