The Pelorus leaves for Havelock to-morrow evening instead of the morning as advertised. The vessel signalled yesterday proved to be the three-masted schooner Frank Guy from Bateman's Bay, N.S.W. Captain Edmonds reports leaving that place on March 28th with light westerly winds, which on the 30th shifted to S.S.E. On April Ist the wind veered round to N.E., and blew hard, accompanied with heavy rain and a chopping sea, in which the vessel labored heavily, and shipped large quantities of water. The gale lasted until the sth instant, when it gave place to a strong sou-wester. lOn the evening of that day the land near Cape Farewell was sighted. Shortly after the wind died away, and since then nothing but light airs, calms and variables have been experienced and the vessel only reached the outer anchorage this afternoon. Her cargo consists of iron bark timber, 33,500 feet of which is for Messrs Akersten and Freeman, of this port the remainder (60,000 feet) being for Oamara, for which port she will proceed immediately after discharging cargo here. The Frank Guy will be towed into harbor tomorrow morning.
