The Ocean Bird sailed from Waitara last evening bound for Hokitika. The Croydon Lass has finished loading, and will probably get to sea this evening. The Kennedy leaves for West Coast ports, at 2 p.m. to morrow. The Murray arrived at Hokitika this morning. She leaves for Greymouth tomorrow morning. The Lyttelton left for Blenheim at 11 o clock yesterday morning, and arrived there at 8 o'clock this morniug. Tho Patea sailed for Patea at 4 p.m. on Saturday. She will arrive here from Wellington at the latter end of the week. The Dunedin commenced discharging cargo alongside the Commercial Wharf this morning. The Star of the South leaves Wellington this afternoon, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail for Westport aud Greymouth same day. The only vessel lying at Waitapu when the Midge left was the cutter Hero. She is loading with timber for Wellington. The Zealandia, with the San Francisco mail, will be due at Auckland to-morrow, and as she is a fast steamer she will no doubt be up to time. The Southern portion of tbe mail will be brought down by the Taiaroa. The Wellington left Wellington at 1 p.m. to-day, wiil arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail for Picton and Wellington by the same tide at 9 30 a.m. The Wallace left Wellington at 5 a.m. yesterday, and experienced strong S.E. winds with heavy sea in the Straits. The steamer being deep made slow progress, aud did not arrive here until 11.30 p.m. The tide then being on the ebb she came to an anchor, remaining there until 4.30 a.m. today, when she came into harbor. The Wallace sails for Wanganui this afternoon. The ship Warwick, says the Chronicle of Friday, had cleared at the Customs for Point de Galle, and all arrangements having been completed she was about to sail to-day, when the, captain received a cablegram from the owners in London telling him to remain in Wellington till he received further orders. Captain Sexton does not yet know for what port he will bave to sail.
