■ i i PUBLIC NOTICE. We respectfully beg to thank the public for the liberal support they have given to us for tbe la9t twenty years, nud more especially for the very extended patronage since we altered our style of business We have often been asked the reason why we are able to sell our gooda cheaper than any other person in Nelson. Our answer to that is — Firstly : That we only sell for Cash. Secondly : That being Direct Importers, we are able to sell at much cheaper rates than if the goods were bought in the Colony, as we purchase them considerably under the wholesale prices here. Thirdly: Being thorough Practical Shoemakers, we have no wages to pay for anything in the shape of Managers, and therefore our expenses are a mere nothing. IWbthly : And we are now in a position, as far as money ib concerned, to take advantage of any Bargains in the trade that may be offering. But we are too well versed in the business to have anything to do with bankrupt stocks, as it requires too much gas to puff such goods away. Our friends will therefore find us at tbe Old Stand in Upper Bridge-street, where, we are certain, all will be satisfied, and by purchasing from us they will save honey, and we shall get a small profit. We do not intend to advertise Boots @ 3/4£ worth 12/6& as that way of advertising does not suit thinking people. HEALT & SON. feT Ladies' Cashmere Boots, 3/3. Ladies' Kid Boots, 6/-. Men's Bluchers, 7/6. Men' Elastic Sides, from 6/6. 30
