Messrs Sharp and Pickering held a land auction at the Star and Garter Hotel Richmond, An Wednesday 12th March* when four lots submitted were all disposed of at the following prices :— 93 feet frontage to the main street bropght £139; 53 feet frontage adjoining the Richmond Fair ground together with « seres roomed house and outbuildings, £160."- A building site of two acres at the haak of the main street, with two roomed cottage and orchard, £155.
