Captain R. A. Edwin reports :— ." Watch barometer ; bad weather approaching ; any direction between north and west and southwest; glass will further fall very soon." The Kennedy will arrive from Westport to-morrow morning. She proceeds to Wellington direct on Monday at 3 p.m. The Wallace arrived at Wellington this morning, and leaves again for Nelson this evening. The Murray leaves for West Coast ports this evening. The Lyttelton leaves Blenheim for Wellington to-day. The Arawata, with the Suez mail, wiil be due at the Bluff on Monday. The Maori leaves Lyttelton to-day, and will arrive here to-morrow. She sails for West Coast ports at noon on Monday, The Wellington arrived in harbor this morning, and sailed for Taranaki Maoukau and Wellington by the same tide at 1.45 p.m. A schooner, supposed to be the Sheet Anchor from Bateman's Bay, was coming up the Bay when we went to press. The May arrived from West Wanganui this morning with a load of Wallsend coal The Claud Hamilton leaves Wellington on Monday afternoon, will arrive here on Tuesday morning, and sail for Picton and Wellington at one p.m. same day. The Maori sails for West Coast ports at noon on Monday. The Charles Edward sailed for Wanganui last evening, and arrived there this morning. She leaves there this evening with a number of the Wanganui Cavalry, who are coming here to take part in the Colonial Prize Firing. On her arrival here the Charles Edward will He laid np for a thorough overhaul. In addition to.having a part of her bottom made good, she will be supplied with a new boiler, which has recently been constructed for her at the Anchor Foundry. She will also be painted and grained all over. When the repairs are effected it is anticipated that the little steamer will run a long time without requiring an overhaul, while the new boiler v expected to give steam enough to drive ncr at the least another knot faster through the water than at present.
