A public holiday was observed to-day in consequence of the ceremony of unveiling the statue of Captain Cook in Hoyd Park. -The Governor performed the ceremony iu the presence of a muster of the military and naval forces and various public bodies. Upwards of twenty thousand spectators were present. Wednesday. The Executive Council of the Sydney Internatioual Exhibition have been invited by the Ministry to meet Governor Kobiuson at a farewell banquet on March 18.
