The Patea sailed for Patea this afternoon with a fair number of excursionists. The Croydon Lass was advertised to leave l.jtteltoD for this port today. A fall cargo naa been secured for her. The C.G. steamer Stella will arrive here to-morrow morning from Wellington, on her way to the West Coast. The Murray arrived at Wellington this morning. She leaves for Nelson to-morrow evening. The Wallace arrived at Wanganui early this morning. She leaves again for Nelson tni9 evening. *x7 he Cbarleß Edward arrived at Greymonth this morning. She leaves for Hokitika tomorrow morning. The Lyttelton arrived from Blenheim this morning. She returns to the same port on Thursday at 10 p.m. The Kennedy leaves Wellington at 5 this afternoon, should arrive tomorrow morning and sail for West Coast ports on Thursday morning. The Taiaroa arrived in harbor this afternoon, having left Wellington at 7 p.m. yesterday, and Picton at 5a m. to-day. She returned to Picton and Wellington by the «tme tide. _ The Alhambra is now lying in the Yarra River, Melbourne, her owners finding it too expensive to keep her running. The Omeo is engaged in the coal trade between Newcastle and Melbourne. Captain Calder is in command of her. By the barque Tongoy, from London, there arrived a handsome little steam launch to the order of Mr Franzen for Mr Harris at the Pelorus Sound. The launch was built by Messrs Yarrow and Hedley, of Poplar, and is magnificently fitted out. On a trial being made with her here the other day she «n eight knots per hour. She proceeded to her destination this morning.
