Melbourne, Wednesday. A tornado at Camperdown yesterday caused great damage.
Sydney, Thursday. In the Assembly last night, Mr T. Watson, Colonial Treasurer, estimated the excess of revenue over expenditure for this year at £126,000. He announced his iutention to propose to abolish the gold duty and introduce a scheme of rai.way extension.
Brisbane, Thursday. In consequence of virulent cases of small pox on board the steamer Somerset, the Tessel is quarantined.
