COMMERCIAL.

Messrs Sharp and Pickering bold their usual monthly sale of stock at the White Hart hotel Richmond yesterdav, when the quantity of stock offered and also the attendance of buyers was unusually large. 350 fat Merino sheep were disposed of at fis 6d. About 600 store sheep of the same description were offered of which about half of them found purchasers at 4s 3d and 4s 6d the remainder were withdrawn for want of buyers, as owing to continued dry weather there is but little feed on the stubble laud, and grass is decidedly scarce. Several pens containing iu all about '250 sheep and lambs crossbreds, all found purchasers at fair prices considering the scarcity -of feed. The prices for sheep ranging from' G3 cd to 8s Gd, and lambs 5s Gd to Gs !)d these were a very mixed lot as to condition and size. A cow in calf brought. £5 and a chestnut gelding (very good stamp) £-20.
