An offer of £850,000 is said to' have" been recently made for the London lelegrayh, and declined by its proprietors, Messrs Lawson, Levy and Co. As the Telegraph is rated fourth in value arnoDg the London newspapers, it would appear that the journaliistic market is at least " firm " over there. The .Times is roughly valued at £5,000,000, the Siaudard at £2",000,000, and the Daily News at £1,200,000. The price asked for the Telegraph is a round million. The circulation of these journals is given at 85,000 daily for the Times, 145,000 for the Standard, 125,000 for the Nw.% and 2^0,000 for the Telegraph. In point of advertising patronage, the Times exceeds all the other three combined; the Standard surpasses both the News and the Telegraph and the former leads the latter. The paper of least circulation has the most advertising patronage, and vice versa. " While there's life there's hope." This is well said, for often poor sufferers from depressing maladies have been brought so low that it seemed hopeless to hope for recovery. The new medicines introduced lately into New Zealand, have worked such wonders in many such apparently hopeless cases, that they should be tried by all suffering from Rheumatic attacks, severe Gout, Liver Complaints, &c. These medicines are pronounced to be the " Wonder " of the nineteenth century, and can be had of all Chemists. Ask for " Gollaji's Gjjkat Indian Cores."
