Thp Lady Barkly returned from Golden Bay yesterday afternoon. 'lie Pelorus leaves for Havelock at six o'clrck to morrow morning. Mr Finlay M Arthur, late chief officer of steanx-i Taupo. has been sppoiuted to the command of the steamer Oreii '1 he Awaroa sailed for Wanganui this morning. The Arawala leaves Wellington at 10 o'clock This evening, will arrive here tom< rrow morning, and sail for Melbourne via "Wellington and South with the outward suez mail at 10 am on Sunday. The CharUs lidward arrived in harbor this raoriiin* at 10 o'clock from Wellington, having experienced strong N.VV. winds across the Straits, together with a nasty sea. She brings 27 J adult immigrants, ex Fernglen, for Hnkitika, for which port she leaves direct to-morrow at 7 a.m. The Tiiiaroa anived in harbor at 7 o'clock this morning, having left AVellingtou at 3 p.m. and Picton at 11 pm . yesterday. Fine weather was experienced throughout. The Taiaroa sails for Taraaaki and Manukau at ll B.m to-umrrow. The Wellington arrived at the outer anchorige at 3 o'clock this morning, and caipe into harbor at 7 o'cld k. She left Ont-hunjja at 8 30 a.m. on Wednesday, experienced fine weather, and arrived off New Phinuii'h early yesterday morning; discb rjifd cargo and sailed for Nelson at 11 a.m , arriving here as above. A strong S W wind was experienced in the Straits iast evening. The Wellington sailed for Picton and Wellington by the same tide at 9.30 a.m. Un the arrival of the Kotorua at Dunedin the excursionists, who were highly pleased with their trip, presented Captain Carey with a testimonial, and a sum of money to be distributed amongst the crew. Tt e ship Piako, from London to Lyttelton, which put into Perambucohas been repaired' and proceeded on her voyage. A portion of the cargo being unfit for reshipnient was sold by auction. ~ * -- - —
