The Wellington arrived at Onehunga at 8 j a.m. to-day. The Pelorus arrived from Havelock yes- ! terday morning. She returns to the same port at 6 o'clock to-night. The Richard and Mary sailed for Lyttelton | on Saturday evening witb a load of timber. She returns here with breadstuffs. The Arthur Wakefield left Lyttelton for this port on Saturday with a cargo of bread- ! stuffs. ' The Taiaroa leaves Wellington at 5 p.m. ) to-morrow, will arrive here on Christmas morning, and sail for Picton and Wellington I at 6 p.m. on Thursday. j The Edwin Pox was towed to the outer I anchorage by the Kennedy this morning. It -was originally intended to anchor the vessel in the stream until she was ready for sea, but Captain Phease having got wind that the remaining portion of his crew were going to make a bolt of it, determined to go .'outside the Boulder Bank. The captain kept his intentions dark until this morning, when ! the sailors were somewhat surprised to see j the Kennedy come alongside and take the I vessel in tow, thus frustrating the little plans ! which they had, in theory, already worked I oat. I The Maori arrived here at 4 30 a.m. to-day. j She left Dunedin at 5 p.m. on December 14 i cleared the Heads at 6 p.m., and arrived at j the Bluff at 1 p.m. on the 15th; sailed at 2 p.m. and reached Preservation Inlet at 5 ajn. on the 16th; left at 8 a.m., arriving at Dusky Sound at 2 p.m.; after a stay of two I hours proceeded on to Martin's Bay, which : was reached at 6 a.m. on the 17th; landed i mails and cargo, called at Big Bay, and i arrived at Jackson's Bay at 10.30 a.m. on the 18th; steamed on to Hokitiki at 230 i p.m., and arrived there at 6 a.m. on the 19thsailed in the afternoon, and reached Greymouth at 8 p.m.; left at 7 p.m. on the Slst and arrived at Westport at 2 a.m. yesterday' stayed there until 9 a.m., when she sailed for Nelson, arriving here as above. The Maori leaves for Picton and Wellington, in place of tbe Taiaroa, at 9 a.m. to-morrow. The Kennedy returned to port yesterday at 1.30 p.m. She reports leaving Nelson on Tuesday, the 17th inst., for Westport at 3 p.m., arriving there on Wednesday at noon: left for Hokitika same evening, arriving there next morning's tide; sailed for Greyt month in the afternoon, and arrived there same tide; left for Westport on Saturday on the morning's tide, arriving there the same afternoon at 4 p.m ; sailed for Nelson same day at 7.15 p.m., arriving here as above. The Kennedy leaves for Wellington at six this evening.
