The Wallace arrived at Wanganui to-day, and will leave thers on an excursion trip to Nelson on Monday evening. The Murray arrived at Westyort with the San Francisco mail this morning. The schooners Clio and Dido left Waitapu yesterday morning for Lyttelton witb cargoes of timber The Wellington arrived in harbor this morning at 4.30. She left Wellington at 12.30 p.m. yesterday, and arrived at Picton at 5.30 p.m.; sailed at 7.30 p.m., and arrived here as above. Fine weather wa3 experienced throughout the passage. Tbe Wellington had on board 130 passengers when she left Wellington yesterday, 60 of whom she brought on to Nelson. She sailed for Taranaki and Manukau this afternoon. The schooner Sarah and Mary, bound from Lyttelton to Greymouth, 10 days out, was spoken by the Tasso yesterday off the Spit. The master of the schooner wished to be reported. As we predicted the vessel signalled yesterday proved to he the Tasso from Newcastle. Captain Moulton reports leaving there on December 9, and had light N.W. winds for the first three days, the latter part of the passage being marked by W.S W. winds. Cape Farewell was aighted at daylight yesterday morning, and the Tasso rounded the Spit at nine o'clock, and arrived here iu the afternoon. She was towed into harbor by tbe Lady Barkly, and herthed alongside the Commercial Wharf, where she commenced discharging her cargo of coal, which is consigned to Mr J. S. Cross, jun., this morning. Tbe Lady Barkly sailed for Golden Bay at noon to day. - " The brig Raymond bound for Wellington left Newcastle at the same time as the Tasso Both vessels were in sight of eaeh other during the passage across the Middle Ground, and at daylight yesterday morning Captain Moulton saw a vessel some distance astern of him, which he believed to be the Raymond. The Hydrabad is rapidly being launched at Otaki, and it is expected that she will be floated off the beach. Her hull is reported to be as sound as ever it was. Hopes are entertained of getting the City of Auckland off also.
