The Slar of the South has at last crossed the bar and arrived at Grey mouth. The Kennedy left for West Coast ports at six o'clock this morning. The Wallace leaves for Blenheim direct at 8 o'clock this evening. The Arawata, with the Suez mail, leaves Melbourne for New Zealand ports to-day. The Lady Barkly leaves on her usual "weekly trip to Golden Bay at 7 p m to-day. The barque Tasso may shortly he expected here from Newcastle with a load of coal. The Charles Edward owing to a strong flood in the river is still a prisoner at Hokitika. The Lyttelton arrived at Blenheim from Otaki yesterday afternoon at four o'clock. She left for Wellington with a full .cargo of wool at ten this morning. The Sarah and Mary, which left Lyttelton on Saturday last for this port, should show up to-morrow. The Clyde hauled into the stream this morning, and will sail for Bateman'a Bay to-morrow, weather permitting. The Claud Hamilton was not telegraphed a3 having arrived on the West Coast up to the time of oar going to press. The Taupo left New Plymouth at nooa to-day, will arrive here early to-morrow morning, and sail for Wellington and South at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. The Wellington arrived at Wellington afc 8 a.m. to-day. She leaves there to-morrow will arrive here on Friday, and sail for Taranaki and Manukau the same day. The s.s. Murray arrived in harbor this morning from West Coast ports. She left Nelson on Saturday, the 23rd ult., at 7 a m., taking the West Coast portion of the San Francisco mail, went alongside the Edwin Fox, and after taking on board a number of immigrants, she left at 9.30 a.m She aought shelter under the lee of the Spit until Sunday evening in consequence of a heavy gale from the S W., and arrived at Westport at •> p.m. on Monday, the 25th; left same night for Greymouth, arriving there next day at noon; left for Hokitika on Wednesday at 10 a.m., arriving there at 12.30 same tide; left Hokitika for Greymouth on Friday at 11 a.m., arriving there at 1.30 p.m.; coaled and left for Westport at 2 p.m., arriving there at midnight; was detained there in consequence of a heavy sea and flooded state of the river until 630 a.m. yesterday, when she left for Nelson, arriving here as above. Experienced strong northerly winds and head sea on the passage up. The Murray reports the s.s. Maori and Wallabi lying at Greymouth, also the s.s. Star of the South in the Greymouth roadstead unable to get in in consequence of the bad state of the bar, and the s.s. St. Kilda, cattle laden, in Westport, bound for Greymouth. The Murray leaves for Wellington direct this evening at 11 o'clock.
