ANOTHER STEAMER COLLISION.
TWO HUNDRED DROWNED. Londox, Nov. 26. The steamer Pomerania, from New York to Hamburg, collided with a barque off Folkestone at midnight. The steamer sunk in ten minutes. Two hundred were drowned, and 117 saved. Bombay, November 23. The British force advanced and shelled AH Musjid in the Khyber Pass. The Ameer's troops were strongly posted and the attack was postponed until the remainder of the troops arrived. A later telegram states that the British attacked AH Musjid yesterday afternoon. The Afghans evacuated it last night after a brisk cannonade and the troops occupied the place this morning. The British loss was trifling. >. November 24. The Viceroy of India has issued a proclamation justifying England's declaration of war against the Ameer and asserting that hostilities were directed against the Ameer and not against the people of Afghanistan, whose independence was recoguised and would i;e respected ; further, that England would not tolerate the intervention of any other Power.
