The Mad Cap commenced discharging cargo this morning. The Awaroa leaves for Wanganui tomorrow. The Charles Edward left for West Coast ports at I p.m, to-day. The Wallace left for Wanganui this afternoon. The Lyttelton has again been successful in workiug Otaki., She returns there for another cargo. The Murray, owing to heavy sea and blowing hard from N.W., was unable to get out of Hokitika to-day. Tne Peloru3 was placed on the cradle this morning for the purpose of being cleaned. She leaves for Havcloek at 8 p.m. to-morrow. The Edwin Fox broke bulk this morning, and commenced discharging. Considering what a weatherly vessel she is it i3 needless to say that her cargo as far as can be judged at present is in splendid condition. From late Melbourne papers we learn that the Claud Hamilton was to leave there for New Zealand ports tc-day. She comes here by way of the West Coast. The Wellington left Wellington this afternoon, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and return to Picton and Wellington at 10 a.m, on Saturday, conveying passengers to the Albion, which leaves Wellington for Melbourne via South on Monday. The Kennedy returned to port this morning at 6 o'clock. She reports leaving Nelson on Sunday, the 17th, but did not get out of the Bay owing to S.W. gales until Tuesday, the 19th, arriving at Westport on Wednesday afternoon; was detained there with northerly gales until Friday, the 22nd, when she left for Hokitika, arriving there on Saturday; left for Greymouth on Sunday morning, arriving there by the same tide; sailed for Westporfc on Tuesday, and arrived there at midnight; left for Nelson at 10 a.m. yesterday, arriving here as above. The Kennedy sails for Wellington at 7 o'clock this evening. The Taupo arrived in harbor last evening at 10 o'clock. She left Onehunga at 10.15 a.m. on Tuesday, and experienced a heavy gale of wind with high sea and accompanied with thunder and lightning on the passage to Taranaki, arriving in the roadstead there early yesterday morning; the surf boat came off and took on board the mails and passengers, but on account of the high sea running it was found impossible to land the cargo, and the Taupo proceeded on to Nelson at 8 a.m., arriving here as above. She sailed for Wellington and South at 10.30 a.m. to-day.
