Bpport on a Sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps received from Mr H. J. Hart. jWe- have- subjected a sample of the abovenamed article to a very careful chemical analysis aud examination. The results of) the snaiysis, which are ae forth- in a separate report show that this spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of solid matter in solution. - It possesses s delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. It has a pure fragrant odour, and Is abac*; lately free from any trace of foul or other injurioui impurity, and has evidently been distilled from superior rye. grain, oiways used instead, of; l n)alt '■ in the. productioa of the choicest qualitiea of ■ Schnapps. It is very smooth to the palate, and in this respect compart s favourably with other, sample* offered for Bale.
