' ' ' - The Spring Horticultural Show, which promises to be a remarkably good oae this year, although it is feared that is somewhat late for tbe roses, will take place at the Provincial Hall to-morrow and;on Wednesday. It is needless for us to say a word in recommendation of these Shows, the popularity of which is testified to as'often as they occur by the crowds of people that they attract. There will be music each evening, and to-morrow a special train will be laid on to meet the convenience of residents in the country. Mr. Scott gave another wire walking performance in Bridge-street on Saturday night, but was not very successful on account of the slackness of the wire, which rendered it ?ery difficult to maintain a perfect balance. Owing to his failure to execute all the promised feats no collection was made from the crowd. Mr Scott means to give an afternoon performance at the Port on Saturday, when ho will walk across a portion of the harbor, thus doing away with all possibility of danger, and making the performance such an one as may be witnessed by the most timid. A well contested cricket match was played in the Botanical Reserve on Saturday between St. Mary's and Bridge?street schools, when the former won by 14 runs, the scores | being 84 and 70 respectively.
