Mr Mabin reports that at the auction sale yesterday of the effects and furniture of Mr Ashton there was a good attendance. The following is a list of the prices obtained for some of the principal articles: — Buggy £52; double set harness, £14 10s; single set, £3 10s; side saddle and bridle, £C 10s; oats, 4s per bushel; horse biu suite, £20; piano, by Bord, £30; music stool, 245 ; pier glass, 30s ; plated tea and coffee service, 37s Cd; cedar parlor table, 57s 6d; iron bedstead and palliass, £2 18s ; toilet glass, 30s ; and the other articles equally satisfactory prices. — On the 4tb, at the Nelson Auction Rooms, oranges realised 43 to 7a per case, lemons 83 6d to 9s, cheese Gd to 6}d.
