Temporary Offices i Lloyd's Rooms, Bramdon-street, Wellington. This Company is formed for two objects :— Ist and chiefly. For lending money at current rates of intere t upon the security of landed property situated within the Colony of New Zealand ; and 2nd. For acquiring, when deemed advisable, lunded nn p-rty situated in or near to cities or towns, or centres of population, in the Colony of New Zealand, and thereafter selling ifc again in whole or in lots ub may Buit. purchasers. With a fast increasing population both in town and country, a very tine climate, and land of great fertility, opened up by the construction of roads an I railways, there is an almost inexhaustible field fjr the profitable investment of money in the manner pro posed by this Company, and ie ia one very little occupied. ,This Coropuny intends to occupy that field, ard to offer to the public — particularly to farmer-settlers and the work ing population generally — facilities for acquiring property or for erecting houses, or effecting ether substantial improvements thereon on reasonably moderate terms. Aud the Company can do sj profitably to the Shareholders, while at the same time help is giren to people who ate willing to pay adequately for lha advantages and accommodation offered. In no case will mo^ey be lent otherwise than on the security of landed property, a s^e margin beiog aiwavs ltept. The system which prevails all over the Colony in the buying of land, is that of fie ferrei payment of the price, — so much being paid as a d-.pofit when the purchase is made and the remainder by bills lor instalments spread over a limifed pe»iod of from one to three years, the title beins? only granted when the price is fully paid up. This Com pa;>y, in consequence of being in a position io pay in cash at oner, will certainly be able lo buy property on much more favorable terms lh»n buyers on de'erred payments; and it ib certain thst by the exercise of ordinary care, a Fafe nnd very profitable limd of business can be done by buying land aud selling it again in lots to fruit purchasers. It is viry well known that Companies in New Zealand having objects similar to those of this Company luve been able, notwithstanding viry iioiied resources, not only to pay large dividends but aleo to add io capital. It is not intended to caH up more than XI 1 per share, at the outset «t least. The Promoters consider that, with 10i per Share paid up. the Company may make a fair btginning; and they coi fidently anticipate that, beei es paying a good dividend to Shareholders, the Directors will also by judicious investments in lauded property, be able from time to time, out of profits, to make additions to Capitil The turn over of the Capitol will be quit k and there will no doubt be available soon a considerable amount of money from deposits mnde by people both at Home and in New Zealand, so that v large j aid-up Capital is not necessary. Prospectuses, with Forms of Application for Shares, may be obiainei at the Ufficss of tbf Company, or from the Bankers at the Office, or at any of the Brancho?; or from the Union Bank of Australia, Nelson ; and the Memorandum and Articles of Association may be seen in the hands of the beerii tary. j Should no Allotment be mode, the Deposit will be returned without any deaaction.
