Captain Edwin reports:— "Watch barometer ; bad weather approaching ; any direction between north and west and south west. Glass will fall fast." The Murray left Greymouth for Westporfc to-day. The Kennedy arrived at Westport from Nelson at 9 o'clock this morning. The Wallace arrived at Wanganui from Nelson at 10 a.m. to day. The Lyttekon arrived at Blenheim from Nelsnn at !0.16 this morning. The Awaroa sailed for Wanganui last evening. The Tararua leaves Melbourne for New Zealand ports to day. The Wellington arrived at Wellington early this morning. Captain f'reagh, who is well known in Nelson, has been appointed to the comn.and of the hrignntine Isabella. The Sisters and Midge sailed for Waitapu last evening with the last of the rails for the tramwßy about to be constructed there. The Taiaroa leaves Port Chalmers for Northern ports to-day. She will arrive here on Saturday. The Standard and Golfoeeker arrived yesterday afternoou from Ruatunawhau with cargoes of coal. The Ladybird left Onehunga at 10 50 a m. to-day, will arrive hpre to-morrow evening and sail for Wellington by the same tide at 10 p.m. The Charles Edward arrived alongside the Albion Wharf at JO o'clock this morning She left Nelson on the 28th inst, at 9 a m experienced strong S.W. wind to French Pass, from thence to Wellington thick weather with heavy sea, arriving there at roidnight same day; left again at 730 last night, with strong N.W. wind and heavy sea to the Pass, from thence variable until arrival here as above. The Charles Edward leaves for West Coast ports at 2 p.m. on .E nday. , f
