The Luna recently took a load of coal and coke from Greymouth to Onehunga. The Murray sailed for West Coast ports this morning with the San Francisco mail. The Wallace arrived from Wanganui this morning, and sailed for Wellington this afternoon. The Charles Edward left Westport for Nelson last night. She will call at Karamea weather permitting. The Pelorus leaves for Havelock to-morrow morning. The Wellington left Wellington at 7.30 this morning, will arrive here early this evening, and sail for Picton and Wellington at 9 a.m. to-morrow. The Ladybird leaves Wellington this afternoon, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail at five in the afternoon for Taranaki and Manukau. The Ringarooma leaves Wellington tomorrow morning, will arrive here in the eveniug, and sail for Melbourne via South at 8 a.m. on Sunday. The Taiaroa, with tbe San Francisco mail, came into harbor this morning at 5.30. She left Onehunga at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, and reached New Plymouth early yesterday morning; landed mails, passengers, and cargo, and sailed for Nelson at_ 10 a.m., arriving here early this morning. Fine weather was experienced throughout the passage. The Taiaroa sailed for Wellington and South by the same tide at 8.40 a.m. She should arrive at the former port about 7 o'clock to-night, and leaves shortly afterwards for Lyttelton. T'*e tonnage loading ou the berth at London ou September sth for Australia and New Zealand amounted to 66,947 tons. There is still a good demand for tonnage to Australia and New Zealand. The freights quoted are: to New Zealand, iron vessels, 46s Gd per register ton; Adelaide, 37s 6d to 40s; Sydney, 35s to 37s 6d. The Emerald, composite screw corvette, Captain Maxwell, left Plymouth Sound on August 1-th for the Australian station, to relieve the Sapphire. She calls at Tristan d'Acuuha on tbe way out for the purpose of affording relief to any distressed seamen who may be tbere.
