For lending money at current rates of interest upon the security of landed property situated within the Colony of New Zeaiaud ; and 2nd. For acquiring, when deemed advisabife, landed property situated in or near to cities or towns, or centres of population, in the Colony of New Zealand, and thereafter selling it again in whole or in lots as may suit purchasers. With a fast increasing population both in town aud country, a very fine climate, aud land of great fertility, opened up by the construction of roads an 1 railways, there ia an almost inexhaustible field for the profitable investment of money in the manner proposed by this Company, and it is one very little occupied. .This Company intends to occupy that field, ard to offer to the public— particularly to farmer-settlers and the working population generally— facilities for acquiring property or for erecting houses, or effecting ether substantial improvements thereon on reasonably moderate terms. And the Company can do so profitably to tha Shareholders, while at the same time help ia giveu to psople who are willing to pay adequately for the advantages aud accommodation tfEered. In. no case will money be ient otherwise than on tbe security of landed property, a safe margin being a.ways. ways kept. The system which prevails all over the Colony in the buying of land, is that of de ferred payment of the price,— so much being paid as a deposit when the purchase is made, and the remainder by bills for instalments, spread over a limited peiiod of from one to three year?, the title being only granted when tbe price iB fully paid up. This Company, in consequence of being in a position io pay iv cash at once, will certainly be able to buy property on much more favorable terms tlmn buyers on deferred payments ; and it is certain that by the exercise of ordinary care, a safe and very profitable kind of business can be dbne by buyiag land aud selling it again in lots to suit purchasers. It is viry well known that Companies in New Zealand having objects similar to the S3 of this Company luve beeu able, notwithstanding very limited resources, uot only to pay large dividends but also to add to capita!, It is not intended to call up more than £1 per chare, at the outset at least. The Promoters consider that, with 10* par Share paid up. the Company may make a fair beginning; and they coi fiJently anticipate that, besides paying a good dividend to Shareholders, the Directors will also by judicious investments in lauded property, be able from time to time, oat of profits, to make additions to CapiUl, The turn over of the Capital will be quick, and there wid no doubt be available soon a considerable amount of money from deposits mnde by people both at Horae and ia New Zaaland, so that a large paid-up Capital is not necessary. Prospectuses, witli Forms of Application for Shares, may be obtainel at the Offices of the Company, or from the Bankers at the Office, or at any of the Braucbe?; or from thu Union Bank of Australia, Nelson ; and tbe Memorandum and Articles of Associate may be seen in the bands of the Secretary. Should no Allotment be made, tbe Deposit will be returned without auy dedaction. Lloyd's Rooms, Brandon-street, Wellington, October, 1878. 3292 INKERMAN QUARTZ-MINING COM PAN V [Limited].
