The whole of the profits are divided amongst the assured, and bonuses to tbe amount of £910,000 have already been allotted. The last division of profits took place in 1874. and the cash surplus then divided amounted to £235,000, giving additions to policies averaging £3 per cent per annum on the sum assured. The bonuses paid on policies becoming claims have varied from £15 per cent on the sum assured for a policy of five years' standing at £150 per cent for one of twentyfire yrats' duration Bonuses become vestel additions to policies when they have teen full five uars in force. The profits realised during the last live years will be ascertained ond divided as at 31 st December nest, and all policies issued on or before that date will be entitled t) participate tbe profits of quinquinnium.
