London, 9th May, 1877.: Report on a Sample of Imperial .Schiedam Schnapps received from Mr fl. J. Hart. We have subjected a siimple of the abovef named article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. ■■ The iresnlts of the Bnalysis, which are se, forth in a separate report show that this spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of solid matter in solution. It possesses a delicate and Bgreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Mr Hart's Schiedam Schnapps is a very superior ariicle of its class, is well purified, and is quite genuine. (Signed) Arthur H. Sir, — 1 have the honor 'to report for your information that tbe sample ot Imperial Schieiam Schnapps for war Jed by you to me has been submitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the Finest Sample of Schnapps that aa yet come under my notice. It has a pure fragrant odonr, and is absolutely free from any trace of fu-il or other injurious imparity, and has evidently been distilled from superior rye gr»in, olways used instead of malt in the production of the choicest qualitit s of Schnapps. It is very smooth to the palate, and in this respect compan s favourably with other samples offered tor sale. It may be advised as equally,] suitable for medical or economic purposes.
