DON'T ROB A POOR MAN OF HIS BEER.
To the Editor, op the ' Evening Mail.' Sir, —l was pleased to sec by your last night's issue tbat tbe Beer Duty Bill was thrown out, but where were three of our Nelson members, viz., Messrs Curtis, Gibbs, and Richmond ? Their names do not appear iu the division list. I bear that Mr C. retires to his bed punctually at 10 p.m., and that might account for bis absence, though one would bave thought on such an occasion he would have tried to bave kept awake out of consideration to his colleague, Mr Sharp, but where were the other two? Not asleep I hope. However, ifc would be, perhaps, as well for them to know that nineteen ont of erery twenty constituencies at the next election will require their members to oppose a Beer Duty Bill.—lam, &.., An Elector.
