The Lady Barkly returned from Golden Bay last evening. A barque, bri**-, and brigantine were lying at Guard Bay when the Wellington passed yesterday. We understand that the Nelson Hematite Company have purchased the cutter Dart. She may Le expected here in the course of a few days. The Ladybird, which had beeu detained hy Taad weather, leaves Wellington this afternoon, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail for Taranaki and Manukau by the same tide at 10.30 a.m. The Arthur Wakefield, bound from Wellington to Wanganui, was seen by the Wellington yesterday standing out from Guard Bay, where she had been taking shelter. The Taranaki, with the San Francisco mail, arrived at Lyttelton at 4 a.m. to-day. The Dunedin portion of the mail was to be conveyed to its destination by rail from Lyttelton. As we predicted the Richard and Mary, bound from Oamaru to this port, is lying at Port Underwood, a telegram to this effect haviDg been received by her owner from Blenheim. During the dense fog yesterday the •schooner Mary Ogilvie, which left here in the morning for Motneka, ran on a sandbank a few yards north of tbat place. If was expected that she would float off last evening. The Wellington arrived in harbor at 6.30 p.m yesterday, returned to Picton and Wellington at 9.30 a.m to-day.
