The Wallace, which left Blenheim at noon yesterday, has not yet arrived, having been detailed by the north-west gale. _ The Kennedy has cot yet got out of Wellington, from whence a, telegram wa3 received this morniDg stating, " Gale still Taping furiously." From Westport there is reported a strong N.W. gale and heavy sea, which prevent the Murray and Charles Edward leaving the river. The Mary Ogilvie finished discharging cargo to-day. The Pelorus arrived from Havelock yesterday afternoon, and returns to the same place to-morrow morning at 7 o'clock. The Ladybird leaves Wellington to-morrow afternoon, will arrive here on Saturday morning, and sail by the same tide at 10 a.m. for Taranaki and Manukau. There is still a heavy sea running on the bar, consequently noue of the coasting fieefc have been able to put to sea. There were no arrivals today, and only one departure— the Taranaki for South. Owing probably to the N.W. gale raging in Wellington to day the departure of the Wellington from that place has been postponed until to-night, when she will sail for i*icton and Nelson at twelve o'clock. She will arrive here to-morrow evening, and return to Picton and Wellington at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The Taranaki, with the inward San Francisco mail, arrived in harbor at 6.30 this morning. She left Onehunga at 4.30 p.m. ©a Tuesday, and arrived off New Plymouth at 6 a.m. yesterday, landed mails, passengers, and cargo, and sailed for Nelson three hours later, arriving on: the Lighthouse at 10 p.m., just too late for the tide. Fine weather was experienced to Taranaki, thence to Nelson strong N.W. winds, which drove the steamer across the Straits at a good pace. The Taranaki sailed for Wellington and South by the same tide at 8 a.m , and will probably reach the former port to-night.
