Germany's proposal to compel Turkey to carry out the Berlin Treaty has been finally abandoned.

London, September 19. The Australian cricketers sailed for America to-day. At a banquet given them by the Sunderland team, Gregory, in responding, said the whole team were delighted with their reception in England.

The Government have issued a circular making stringent provisions against the introduction of yellow fever from America into British ports.
