London, September 19. The Australian cricketers sailed for America to-day. At a banquet given them by the Sunderland team, Gregory, in responding, said the whole team were delighted with their reception in England.
The Government have issued a circular making stringent provisions against the introduction of yellow fever from America into British ports.
At the general election in Canada, the Opposition, pledged to a Protective policy, obtained a decisive victory. The leading Canadian journals regard this as a serious blow to the prosperity of the Dominion.
