A shark, seven feet long, has been captured in the beautiful Welsh river Dyssni, where it had been preying upon the salmon.

Haviug given the reef a practical trial, he has taken a quantity of stone to the colonies to have ifc properly tested, aud to make arrangements for the successful working of this valuable property. Ellen Heeson, who was sentenced to' death at the Chester Winter Assizes for the murder of her mother and two children to obtain their life assurance, 13 still lying in gaol awaiting her confinement, after which she will be executed, unless Her Majesty is moved to grant a reprieve.
