[Before J. Shephard aud C. de V. Tesciibmakkr, Esqs., J J.P.] Vere Bogle was fined us and costs for being druuk, and Elizabeth Wardropc 10s and costs for being drunk aud disorderly. E. W. Dee and W. Jones were fined £1 each and costs for allowing their cbuuneys to take fire. Lucas v. E. L. Shaw.— Action to recover £5 12s. Mr P. Adams appeared for the plaintiff. Defendant did not appear. Judg mentfor amount claimed and co3ts JCI 16s. Lightband v. E. L. Shaw.— Action to recover £1 17s. Defendant did not appear. Judgment for amount claimed aud costs, £1 I2s. Mrs Middlemiss v. U. Batchelor.— Action to recover £5 9s od. A set-off was put in, which reduced tbe sum in dispute to Gs 6d. The set-off, however, was not admitted by the other side. The action arose out of matters connected wilh plaintiff's store in The Wood, of which defendant had been in charge. Mr Pitt appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Bunny for the defendant. Judgment was given for plaintiff for £2 16s lid over and abovo the amount paid into Court, and costs. Gorrie aud Son v. Macfarlane. — Action to recover £3 193 6d, balance of account for work done. Judgment for plaintiff with costs.
