As Fritz, Mr Emmet, it appears, sings what is known as the Bolony, or, more properly the Bologna song. The Bologna, it is well known, is a species of smiß.ee much affected by .-.vera <>f horse fl .sb. During the song Mr Ernmet dances from one end of tbe Bta?p f to the other swinging a string of property Bologna?. One night, recently, Emmet inadvertently hit the orchestra ieader on the head with his sausages. This gentlemen evidently considered it a personal insult. At all events he stopped the music, laid down his baton, got off his Btand, and left the orchestra, followed by oil his men, who left their instruments behind them. For the moment Emmet was kind of broke up, but not for long; for lie simply said after watching the last man disappearing into his hole, "Veil dot's all ride." Then to the astonishment of the audieuce, he climbed down from fhe stage into the orchestra, collected all the various instruments, and, with them in his arms, got back on the sta_*e, the audience wondering all the time. But they were soon reassured when Emmet picked up the leader's violin and played " St. Patrick's Day." Then the clarionaf, and played on it •• Sweet by-and-by" ; then the cornet, with Levy's " Maud " waltz ; then, successfully, " Home sweet home,' 5 with variations, on the trombone ; the "Last rose of summer " on the flute, and a polka of his own on ths drum, with drumstick accompaniment. It is needless to any each feat was received with deafening applause, as probably none present had an idea Mr Framet was so versatile a musician. If, would not be a bad gag for him to do it every night, though O" ihis occasion th* little sensation was qui.r unpremeditated.
