The following is a list of the prices obtained for some of the principal articles :— Oranges, 11s to 12s 6d per case; mandarins, 17s; lemons, 16s ; sardines, halves 8s Gd to 9s ; quarters, 4s 9d to ss; currants, 4|d; starch, 4d to i\d\ Epps' Cocoa, Is 3d; Brown Windsor soap, 9d; Glycerine soap, 9£d; tinned oysters, 4s 6d per do2; red herringSj 15s per doz for tins containing 1 doz, and SOS per doz for tin3 containing? sugar candy, S^d per lb; table vinegar, pints, 4s 6d to ss, quarts, 8s 3d; mustard, tins 3s per doz, lib tins 6s to Ss 3d; castor oil, |pts 2s 6d to 2s 9d, 4s Cd, pts 8s 6d, qrts 15s 3d; salad oil, jpts 3s, jpts 5s 6d to 5s 9d, pts, 9s, qrts 17s Gd; raspberry vinegar, $pts 4s, pts 7s 3d, qrts, 19s to 21s. All the groceries and oilmen's stores were Morton's. Pianos in rosewood and walnut by Legg brought £25 to £27 10s; 8-stop rosewood Harmonium by Pottie,£l3 13s; 6-stop do £10 10s ; and and several oak and walnut harmoniums without stops £7 to £7 15s; Florence sewing machine, £8 10s; Little Stranger sewing machine for treadle or hand, £4 4s to £4 lOs.
