The -whole of the profits are divided amongst the assured, and bonuses io the amouot of £910,000 have alrendy been allotted. The last division of profits took place in 1874, and the cash surplus then divided amounted to £235,000, giving additions to policies averaging £3 per cent per annum on the sum assured. The bonuses paid on policies becoming claims have varied from £15 per cent on the sum assured for a policy of five yeare' standing to £150 per cent for one of twentyfive years' duration Bonuses become veste • additions to policies when they have been full five years in force.
