The Taranaki, with the San Francisco mail, only crossed the Manukau bar at 12.30 p.m. to-day, so that she cannot arrive here before to-morrow night. The Murray crossed the Waitara bar for Manukau this morning. Tne "Wallace will arrive from Wanganui this evening, and sail for Blenheim at 7 p.m. on Monday.
The Charles Edward will arrive from Westport to-night.
The Kennedy will leave for West Coast ports to-morrow night, on the arrival of the Taranaki from the North.
The Sisters is loading with iron rails at the Government Wharf for Waitapu. The Richard and Mary commenced discharging her cargo of coal this morning. The Aithur Wakefield was to leave Oamaru for Netecn to-day. The Pelonis has received her masts; and every preparation is being made for getting her rendy for sea.
The Lady Barkly and Planet bring cargoes of potatoes from Motueka, to be transhipped into the Anchor Line of steamers for the West Coast.
The Wellington sailed for Picton and "Wellington at 10.30 this morning. She will call at Durville's Island for the purpose of landing two men and some stores. The Wellington leaves Wellington on the return trip on Monday afternoon, will arrive here on Tuesday morning, and leave for Picton and Wellington by the same tide at 1 p.m. The Ringarooma arrived at the outer anchorage at eight o'clock this morning, and came into harbor at 10 a.m. She left Melbourne on the 24th ultimo, and roade a splendid run across the Middle Ground, arriving at the Bluff on Sunday evening. Called at Port Chalmers and Lyttelton, and reached Wellington yesterday morning ; sailed at 6 p.m., came under easy steam all night, and arrived here as above. Fine •weather was experienced throughout the trip. After landing and shipping a quantity of cargo the Ringarooma returned to Melbourne via Wellington and South by the same^ tide at noon. She will reach the Empire City this evening, and leave there for Lyttelton to-morrow afternoon.
The Ringarooma on her last trip to Melbourne did some tall steaming, having run the distance between the Bluff and Melbourne in 3 days 20 hours. This is the fastest time that she has yet accomplished the voyage between the two ports in. On the present trip down she made the passage in under 4 days from Melbourne to the Bluff.
