The Wallace leaves Wanganui for Nelson this afternoon. The Lady Barkly returned from Golden Bay last evening. The Alhambra sailed from Melbourne for Hokitika on Wednesday. The Tararua arrived at Melbourne on Tuesday from Hokitika, and the Alhambra from the Bluff on Wednesday. The Murray is still lying at Waitara, being detained by a heavy sea and westerly gale. " J The Charles Edward left Greymouth this afternoon for Westport and Nelson, and should arrive here to-morrow evening. The Taranaki left the Manukau at 9.40 this morning. She will arrive here to-morrow and sail for Wellington and South shortly after arrival. The Ringarooma leaves Wellington at 5 p.m. to-day, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail for Melbourne via Wellington and South by the same tide at 11 a m. Messrs Shaw and Saville's ship Merope arrived at Lyttelton from London on Wednesday, affera passage of 106 days from Gravesend. She brings 16 passengers. The Wellington arrived alongside the Commercial Wharf at 8.20 this morning. She left Wellington at 2 p.m. yesterday, and reached Picton at 8 p.m.; after a stay of an hour and a half sailed for Nelson, arriving here as abo?e. The Wellington returns to Picton and Wellington to-morrow at 10 a.m. The Waniika arrived alongside the Government Wharf at 8,45 this morning. She left Port Chalmers at 2 p.m. on the 30th ultimo, and arrived at Lyttelton at 8.30 a.m on the 31st; sailed at 6.30 p.m. same day for Wellington, arriving there at 10.45 am yesterday; left at 7.15 p.m., and arrived here as above. The Wanaka sailed for Taranaki and Manukau by the same tide at 11 30. The Richard and Mary arrived from Colhngwood this morning, having left there yesterday. She has been there loading with coal for the last three weeks. In consequence of the Bhallowness of the water she was unable to get alongside the wharf, and the coal had to be taken to her in punts, one of which sunk two or three times. The Richard and Mary bring 3 about 40 tons of coal.
