The whole of the profits are divided amongst the assured, aud bonuses to the amount of £910,000 have ahe».dy been allotted. The last division of profits took place in 1874, and the cash -surplus then divided amounted to £235,000, giving additions to policies averaging, £3 per cent per annum on the sura assured. The bonuses paid on policies becoming claims have varied from £15 per cent on the gum assured for a policy of five years' standing to £150 per cent for one of twentyfive years' duration Bonuses become veste 1 additions to policies when they have teen full five years in force. The profits realised during the last five years will be ascertained and divided as at 3 1st December neut, and ali policies issued on or before that date will be entitled to participate in the profits of quinquinnium.
