The Taiarua leaves Wellington this afterBoon, will arrive here to-morrow, atad sail for Melbourne via West Coast ports at 1 p.m. The schooner Clio arrived at Lyttelton to-day, after a good run from Waitapu, haying left there on the 18th instant The Arthur Wakefield sailed for Oamaru on Saturday evening, with a full cargo of posts, and as the wind has been in her favor since she ought to be a long way on her voyage by this time. A topsail schooner, supposed to be the Mary Ogilvie, was seen by the Murray off Bocks' Point on Saturday evening. Two coasters were also seen off the Sandspit yesterday morning. The steamer Torea arrived in harbor on Saturday afternoon. She left Picton on Thursday, and late in the evening of the same day ran into the Waimea river, where she remained until Saturday, when she came on to Nelson, arriving here as above, after making a stay of two or three hours at the Rabbit Island. The Torea will probably return to Picton this evening. The Wellington sailed for Picton and Wellington at 11.30 p.m. on Saturday, and arrived at the latter port yesterday afternoon. She leaves there on the return trip this afternoon, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail for Wellington via Pictou by the same tide at 2 p.m. The s.s. Murray arrived in harbor yesterday morning from West Coast ports. She left Nelson on Monday, the 15th inst., at 7 a.m, called at Motneka at 9 am, and left again at 10.30 a.m., came to an anchor at 3 p.m. under the Spit as there was then a strong S.W. gale blowing: at 9 p.m. the gale having somewhat abated the steamer made another start for Westport, arriving there at 8.30 p.m on the following day; discharged cargo and left again by the same tide for Hokitika, arriving there at 10 a.m. on Wednesday; sailed at noon on the 18th for Greymouth, arriving there at 2.30 p.m.; discharged cargo^ coaled, and sailed at 1 p.m. on the 19th for Westport, arriving there at 11 p.m.; sailed for Nelson at 1 p.m. on Saturday, arriving here as above. Experienced strong northerly winds on the passage up to R«eks' Point from thence to Spit strong N.W. winds The Murray sails for Wellington direct at 10 o'clock direct.
