A blind Swiss girl, who is au adopt at fine needle work recently sent to the Emperor of Germany a table-cover eiquisitely worked with her own hands; and to avoid the appearance of having sent the present in expectation of getting something in return, she omitted her address, and simply signed herself "A Blind Girl in Switzerland." The monarch was so pleased with the gift and'the manner of sending it that be caused'the German Minister in Switzerland to ascertain the) girl's name and address; whereupon he sent her a valuable brooch and an autograph letter of thanks.
