At a meeting of ratepayers at Spring Grove yesterday, Mr Joshua Bird in the chair, Mi William White, the retiring member, was again proposed by Mr S. B. Silcock, who expressed his satisfaction with what Mr White had done as a member, and Chairman of the Board, and his confidence that, if re-elected, he would still pursue the dame course. Mr James Maule seconded the nomination, aud no other candidate being proposed the Chairman declared Mr Wbite duly elected. Mr White thanked the electors for the confidence reposed in him. He had always endeavored to do his duty to the best of his ability, and would continue to do bo. He reviewed what had been done during the past two years, and expressed a hope that he would be able to do more for the pnblic during his next term of office. A vote of thanks to the Chairu.au concluded the meeting.
