The Uno arrived at Wellington this afternoon.

The Lady Barkly will leave for Golden Bay at 8 o'clock to-night. The Kennedy sailed for Westport this morning.

. The Charles Edward will leave for Westport via Motueka at seven o'clock to-morrow morning.

The Wallace is expected to leave Wanganui this evening, and will saii for Wellington to morrow afternoon.

The Taranaki leaves Wellington for New Plymouth direct this afternoon. On the downward trip she will call at Nelson. The Arawata arrived at Wellington this morning, and leaves on the return trip this afternoon.

_ The Chaudiere is now half loaded at Wellington, but as the cargo is coming ia slowly Bhe will not be able to make a start for tbe old country for two or three weeks. The Tasso finished discharging yesterday afternoon, and her hands have been busily engaged in shipping potatoes to-day. Captain Moulton expects to get to sea to-night. The Taiaroa sailed for Wellington and South at 5 p.m. yesterday, and ia reported as having arrived at the former port at 2.36 this morning. She leaves there this afternoon for Lyttelton.

The Chevec, a Norwegian vessel of some 450 tons register, left Newcastle for Nelson on Saturday last with a cargo of coal for Messrs N. Edwards & Co. She may be looked for here next week.

The Murray was off Hokitika on Wednesday but it was blowing a terrific gale and Captain Conway did not dare to take the bar. Yesterday she returned to Westport, having experienced fearful weather. The weather is now moderating on the Coast, and she will probably make another attempt this evening to reach Hokitika.

The Wellington arrived from Pieton and Wellington at 7.30 this morning. She left Wellington at 1 p.m. yesterday, and reached Pieton at 7 p.m. ; sailed at 9p. m., and arrived here as above. Experienced fine weather throughout the passage. The Wellington sails for Pieton and Wellington at 8.30 a.m. to-morrow.

The Stella proceeded to the scene of the wreck of the Hyderabad on Wednesday, but could not get near the vessel on account of a heavy sea running. The Stella then returned With the object of towing the ship Pleione, which was then lying under Rapid; to Wellington, but by the time the Stella got there she had lifted her anchor, and was seen standing across the Straits. The Pleione has not been seen since. The Wellington while crossing the Straits yesterdey, saw a vessel about 15 miles to leeward, which would probably he the Pleione.
