She left Nelson on the 22nd inst. at 9.30 p.m., experienced strong N.W. wind and. moderate sea until arrival at Wellington at 10 a.m. on the 23rd; left again at 1 1 p.m. yesterday with strong N.W, wind and heavy sea which lasted to the Pass, arriving here as above. The Charles Edward sails for West Coast ports at 8 a.m. on Thursday. Messrs M'Meckan, Blackwood & Co's s.a. Tararua, Captain Sinclair, arrived at the outer anchorage this morning too late to catch the tide, and consequently had to come to an anchor, where, she remained until 2.30 p.m.; when she came into harnor. She lefc Sandridge Railway Pier afc 11 a.m. on the 12th, passed Port Phillip Heads at 1.35 p.m., and Cape Shank at 3.10 p.m. on the 13th; experienced fair winds to Curtis Island, thence strong head winds and high aea until arrival past\Oape Pillar at 1240 p.m. on the 14th, and arrived at Hobarton at 4.30 p.m.; left again at 5 p.m., encountered fresh head winds and fine weather, and arrived off the Solanders at 2 p.m. on the 19th,, arriving at the/Bluff at 7 a.m. on the 20th; left again at 4 p.m., and reached Port Chalmers at 7.30 B,m on the 21st; left again at 6 p.m. same day, and arrived in Port Lyttelton at 10.30 a.m, on the 22nd; left same night at 4.15, and arrived at Wellington at 8 a.m. on Sunday; sailed yesterday afternoon, and arrived here as above. Experienced fine weather dnringthernpup the New Zealand coast. The Tararna sailed for Melbourne via West Coast ports; this afternoon. ;
