[.Before H. E. Curtis, A. J. Richmond, and W. Oldham, Esqs., J.J.P.] Btahj £ Son v. M. Levy. -Claim for £14s 3d for goods supplied. Judgment for amount claimed and costs 9s. W. Hale v. Hartshorn (of Greymouth),— Claim for £11 6s for fruit supplied. Judgment for amount claimed and costs £1 Is. Touel v. Vascoe.— Claim for eight weeks' rent at 10s per week. Defendant said that the rent had been fixed at 8s per week, for which judgment 1 was given Each party to pay his own costs. Mr Buuny appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Pitt for the defendant. ; Ptitit v. T. JHarleyi— Action to recover £15, damages arising out. of an; alleged exchange of horses at. the Turf Hotel on the day of the Queen's Birthday races. This case sraa heard last week, when-the plaintiff was nonsuited) but h~e'renewed" the action I this morning*,T?hen an additional witness was produced in the person' of William Green, who stated that he heard the bargain I made, but thought they were only joking, and afterwards told the defendant not to make the exchange, as Pettit's horse was * regular screw. Mr Bunny appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Pitt for.the defendant. Evidence was given at some length, and the. Bench gave judgment far the plaintiff for '£12 and costs £3 16s. Mr Pitt applied for ia re-hearing, which was refused.
