JHarleyi— Action to recover £15, damages arising out. of an; alleged exchange of horses at. the Turf Hotel on the day of the Queen's Birthday races. This case sraa heard last week, when-the plaintiff was nonsuited) but h~e'renewed" the action I this morning*,T?hen an additional witness was produced in the person' of William Green, who stated that he heard the bargain I made, but thought they were only joking, and afterwards told the defendant not to make the exchange, as Pettit's horse was * regular screw. Mr Bunny appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Pitt for.the defendant. Evidence was given at some length, and the. Bench gave judgment far the plaintiff for '£12 and costs £3 16s. Mr Pitt applied for ia re-hearing, which was refused.
