Midhat Paßha was present at one of Stanley s lectures. Being asked by the Prince of Wales whether he was interested in the lecture oh Central Africa, the Pasha repiied •— - --"Tour Royal Highness, we Turks must certainly be interested more than any oiher people in the exploration of unknown countries, since we must, perhaps shortly, make explorations in search of a new home." ! " Good ware makes quick markets " ihas often been said truly ; and in no instance is it more remarkable than that of "Ghollah's Gbbat Indian Cukes." These medicines were introduces into New Zealand but a very short while since and they have rapidly gained the favor and patronage of the public.
