The Lady Barkly sailed on her weekly trip to Golden Bay yesterday afternoon. The Wellington left Wellington at I p.m. to-day. She will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail for Picton and Wellington at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The Murray arrived from Wellington early this morning. She left here at 3 p.m. on Monday, and arrived at Wellington at 5 a.m. on Tuesday; sailed at 5 p.m. yesterday, and arrived here as above. The Murray Bails for West Coast ports via Motueka at 7.30 am. on Saturday. The Wallace arrived in harbor this morning at 8 30, after a smart passage of 13 hours from Wanganui, having left there at 7.30 last night. Experienced fine weather throughout. The Wallace sails for Wellington at 3 p.m. to-morrow. Captain Dillon, of the Wallace, reports seeing a portion of the wreck of some vessel at two o'clock this morning about ten miles off Stephen's Island. Owing to the darkness it was not discerned until the steamer was close upon it. The wreckage is probably the result of the late gales, of the damage done by which it is feared we have not heard all. The matter was reported to Wellington by the Customs authorities, and it is probable that the Government will send a steamer in search of the derelict vessel. The Kennedy arrived from her usual round of West Coast ports at an early hour this morning. Very fine weather was experienced throughout. The sea on the whole of the West Coast bars was as smooth as glass, there being scarcely a ripple on the water, and presented a marked contrast to what it has been during the last two months, when several vessels \rere stuck up in the different harbors on account of the bars being unworkable. The Kennedy will be placed on the cradle for an overhaul. The Union Company's s.s. Taiaroa, Capt. Wheeler, came into harbor this morning at 7 o'clock. She left Onehunga at 3.30 p.m. on Tuesday, and arrived at New Plymouth yesterday morning; landed passengers, mails, and cargo, and sailed for Nelson at 3 p.m., arriving here as above, Fine weather was experienced throughout the passage. We observe that Captain Wheeler is now in command of the Taiaroa. He will thus be afforded an opportunity of seeing his home every week. The Taiaroa sails for Wellington and South this afternoon.
