•■-_," „ Wb^ington, Thursday night. The Post says that after the close of the present financial year the Government propose to chaige the whole cost of •administration , upon the ordinary revenue of the Colony. \

It is stated that the Government intend adopting a system of delayed telegrams at cheap rates. The charge is expected to be half the present rate. It is expected that the detention of the messages until the evening will greatly lessen the pressure on private work during day hours. The Post says the total ordinary revenue 13 estimated to produce £150,000 over the estimate for the year. This will reduce the deficiency to £90,000, against which they will have to set a saving £100,000 arising from department reductions and|unexpended money voted by the House for different works.
