The Murray will sail for New Plymouth at noon to-morrow. The Kennedy left Wellington to-day, and will sail for the .Coast to-morrow. The Charles Edward left Westport for Nelson to-day. The Taiaroa leaves Lyttelton to-day, and will probably reach here to-morrow evening. The signal for a topsail schooner has been flying all day. Ifc will probably prove to be either the Awaroa from Wanganui, or the Maid of Otago from Oamaru. The Wellington left Wellington to-day at noon, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail at II a.m. for Picton and Wellingtou, taking Southern passengers to the Wan aka. The Phoenix, quondam the Bruiser, sailed on her maiden trip, since she was lengthened, yesterday afternoon for Frenchman's Bay, the home of her owner. From there she will proceed to the Tata Islands.

There was launched on the Clyde on March 20th, an iron sailing vessel of 1130 tons. She was named the Lyttelton, and was built by Messrs R. Duncan and Co., of Port Glasgow, for Messrs Patrick Henderson and Co.,- and is intended for the Glasgow and New Zealand trade. On the same day no less than seven other vessels were launched on the Clyde, measuring in all nearly 11,000 tons gross.

The Union.Company's s.s. Taranaki, Capt. Malcolm, made a call here last evening, and came, into harbor at 10.30 p.m. She left Onehunga at !1 a.m. on Tuesday, and arrived off Taranaki at 6.30 a.m. yesterday, landed mails, passengers, and cargo, and soiled for Nelson at 830 a.m., arriving here as above. Experienced fresh S.W. winds across the Straits. She sailed for Wellington and South by the same tide at midnight. Messrs M'Meekan, Blackwood & Co.'s s.s. Albion, Captain Tozer, arrived in harbor shortly after noon to-day. She left Sandridge at 3 pan on the 16th., cleared the Heads at 5.30 p.m., and passed the Sisters at 11 a.m. the following day; Hokitika was reached at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, where the Waipara was found waiting outside; landed 100 tons of cargo and left for Greymouth at 9.45 a.m., arriving there two hours later; sailed at 1 30 p.m., and arrived at Westport at 6 p.m.; left at 8.45 p.m., aud arrived here as above. Experienced moderate easterly weather throughout. The Albion brings 71 tons of cargo for this port. She sails for Wellington, South, Hobarton, and Melbourne at 12 o'clock tonight.
